Basil is an annual plant preferring slightly moist soil and is grown along the river banks.
The growing area in the Red River Delta is more than 400 hectares (4km2), accounting for 85% of the total growing area.
The growing area in the Central Highlands accounts for 15%.
HARVESTING
Basil seeds are sown every December. 2 months later, the seedlings are planted in furrows.
– 1st harvesting: 3.5 months after planting
– 2nd harvesting: 45 days after the 1st harvesting
– 3rd harvesting: 45 days after the 2nd harvesting
