Vietnam Basil Oil Market Update – End of Harvest 2025

As the 2025 basil harvest season in Northern Vietnam concludes, favorable weather conditions have led to stable yields and exceptional oil quality. Techvina reports consistent supply, managed according to FSSC 22000 standards, and transparent sourcing, reinforcing Vietnam’s reputation as a reliable origin for high-quality basil essential oil.

Basil Harvest Season Completed

The 2025 basil harvest in Northern Vietnam officially ended in late October. Overall weather conditions were favorable, resulting in stable yields and high oil content across the main growing regions such as Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Ha Nam and Ha Noi.

Farmers and processors have reported excellent leaf quality, leading to improved oil clarity and aroma this season.

Stable Supply and Consistent Quality from Techvina

Following the completion of the harvest, Techvina’s Basil Oil supply remains stable and ready for both export and domestic production requirements.

All Basil Oil batches are tested by GC/MS and managed according to FSSC 22000 standards, ensuring the quality of Vietnamese Basil Oil meets the strict requirements of the global regulations.

“Our stock remains steady, and our focus is always on delivering consistent quality and sustainability,” shared Techvina’s Production Department.

Price Trend and Market Outlook

Vietnamese Basil Oil prices have now reached their lowest level in the past three years, ranging approximately from USD 55 to 65 per kilogram. This price range reflects ample supply following the harvest and temporary market softness. The forecast price is anticipated to remain relatively stable, moving slightly around the prevailing rate.

With inventories stabilizing, the market is expected to regain balance in early 2026 as global demand gradually recovers, particularly from fragrance and natural ingredient industries.
