1. A Shared Vision for English Excellence in Engineering
The strong partnership between Techvina and HUST was recently highlighted at a major panel discussion hosted by HUST’s Faculty of Foreign Languages on July 16, titled “Solutions to Enhance English Proficiency for Engineering Students.”
Recognizing English as a core competency, HUST aims to empower students to access global knowledge, engage in international projects, and excel in the modern labor market. This vision aligns seamlessly with Techvina’s focus on innovation and export, where English fluency is essential across almost every department within the natural aroma industry.
Representing Techvina, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan – Deputy Director and a proud alumnus of HUST’s School of Chemistry and Life Sciences – joined the second part of the discussion. Drawing on his extensive experience in natural aroma production, he shared valuable insights on the importance of English in global manufacturing environments and proposed practical solutions to enhance HUST’s English teaching methodologies for engineering students.
2. HUST’s Strategic Push for Global Integration & English Proficiency
The discussion also highlighted HUST’s strong commitment to advancing Vietnam’s position in science and technology on the international stage. As the country’s leading technical university, HUST is entrusted by the government to spearhead international cooperation for sustainable growth.
This mission was reinforced by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long’s Decision No. 663/QD-TTg issued on March 25, 2025, approving the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Development Project. The project aims to elevate HUST into one of Asia’s top universities in engineering and technology, serving as a regional center of excellence for training, research, and innovation in strategic sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, semiconductors, and biotechnology. By 2035, HUST targets a ranking among Asia’s top 100–150 universities according to reputable international benchmarks.
As part of this long-term vision, Associate Professor Vu Van Yem, Vice Rector of HUST, introduced the university’s Internationalization Plan 2025-2030, launched on July 15. A central component of this initiative is the Faculty of Foreign Languages (FOFL), which is developing programs to enhance English proficiency for students and improve foreign language skills for staff and lecturers alike.
3. Investing in the Future: Techvina’s Ongoing Commitment to HUST Students
Collaboration with HUST is a cornerstone of Techvina’s talent development and sustainability strategy in Vietnam. In 2024, Techvina proudly awarded 10 scholarships to outstanding students from HUST’s School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, supporting their academic excellence and future contributions to the natural aroma industry.
Our participation in the 2025 panel discussion, hosted by HUST’s Faculty of Foreign Languages, reaffirms Techvina’s long-term commitment to helping students strengthen their English communication and professional skills — preparing them for a globalized, competitive workforce.
